Ryan Larson Huntington Beach CA Obituary – Huntington Beach police continue their investigation into a devastating seven-vehicle crash that occurred Tuesday afternoon, resulting in one fatality and multiple injuries, including two officers traveling in an Orange County Probation Department vehicle.

The incident unfolded around 2:45 p.m. at the intersection of Goldenwest Street and Heil Avenue, according to Huntington Beach Police Department spokesperson Jessica Cuchilla. Preliminary reports indicate that a gray Tesla Model 3 was traveling eastbound on Heil Avenue at a high rate of speed when it lost control as it approached the intersection.

Witnesses described the Tesla as possibly exceeding 100 mph before it clipped another vehicle at the intersection, causing it to spin out of control. The vehicle then collided with several other cars, with debris from the impacts striking nearby vehicles. The Tesla rolled over multiple times before coming to a rest east of the intersection.

Emergency responders from the Huntington Beach Fire Department arrived on the scene to find the driver of the Tesla, identified as Ryan Mark Larson of Huntington Beach, deceased. The Orange County coroner’s office confirmed his identity.

Multiple victims were taken to local hospitals, including an officer from the Orange County Probation Department, who was in a patrol vehicle at the time. The officer, along with two other victims, was reported to be in stable condition. Several others received treatment at the scene.

The investigation into this tragic crash remains ongoing as authorities work to piece together the events leading up to the collision. The incident has prompted discussions about road safety and the dangers of high-speed driving.
